Skipton employees recognised for 'going the extra mile'

Two members of Skipton International's Customer Services team have been promoted for their commitment to 'going the extra mile'.

Jo Chapman and Shirley Gardner have both become Senior Customer Service Representatives, with effect from this month.

"My promotion was entirely unexpected, but a welcome surprise," said Ms Gardner, who has been with the firm for three years.

"I thoroughly enjoy meeting and supporting Skipton's customers, and being recognised for my hard work in this way means a great deal."

Ms Chapman has a background in travel, and joined Skipton a year and a half ago. She has been responsible for training many of the new joiners in 2020, a role she has relished.

"I've always been a people-person and this promotion has boosted my confidence to grow my skills in a brand-new industry. Finance is a new world to me, but I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Skipton."

Skipton Managing Director Jim Coupe said he was pleased to see the hard work of his employees recognised.

"Over the years, we have see many colleagues work hard and make their mark. Jo and Shirley have demonstrated strong qualities and it is a pleasure to recognise their achievements with these well-deserved promotions."
