Man sustains severe facial injuries from violent assault

A man had to be flown to the UK for treatment after being violently assaulted outside the Thomas De La Rue at the weekend.

Guernsey Police is appealing for witnesses to the assault, which happened at around 02:20 on Sunday morning.

Officers have described it as a "violent assault" that left the victim with significant injuries. 

"As a result of this incident, a male has been taken to hospital after receiving severe facial injuries, requiring UK Hospital treatment."

The investigating officers want to speak to anyone who can help them to track down the perpetrator/s. They would like anyone with private or business CCTV covering the area to come forward.

People with information that can help the investigation are asked to contact PC 177 Le Galloudec or PC 137 Drummy on 725111 or, alternatively, to contact CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
