The boxing club issued the above statement on Facebook on Monday.
Commenting on the alleged assault the club wrote: "We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the security staff who intervened immediately on the night to bring the matter to a swift close by evicting those involved, thus causing minimum disruption to others in attendance."
The club added that "this was a family fundraising event with many children present and as such we were deeply saddened to hear of such unnecessary behaviour.
"Our sport is one of discipline and respect and we absolutely do not condone violence such as this."
