The clock is now ticking for people to have their say on plans to build houses on a field at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
A site notice has been erected at the entrance to the field adjacent to the Duchess of Kent House at the PEH, which formally starts the three week consultation process.
Policy & Resources has submitted an application for outline planning permission to build a three- and four-storey building to provide 66 units of key worker accommodation, as well as parking and a bike shelter.
It is the first phase with options for more development indicated by the application.

The Committee for Health & Social Care argues that the key worker housing is needed on site to attract staff.
Deputy Steve Falla has been campaigning against the development and he disagrees it needs to go there.
“The application notice has now appeared on the gateway to the field at Le Vauquiedor which means the clock is now ticking for representations to be made to the DPA if anyone wishes to object to the application,” he said in a Twitter video.

The application has been made under a planning policy that would allow the field to be built on if the Development & Planning Authority decided it was of strategic importance and, Deputy Falla said, “there was no better alternative”.
“If you don’t agree with that I’d urge you please to write to the DPA as soon as possible.”
Some deputies have called for the consultation period to be extended because of the holiday period over Christmas and New Year.
Policy & Resources could have achieved that by delaying putting the site notice up.
The only way it can now happen is if the DPA decides to do so, which is something its President, Deputy Victoria Oliver has indicated it would consider.

The site notice is dated the 20 December.
In July the States rejected an attempt led by Deputy Falla to protect the land from development.
The application can be viewed at gov.gg/liveplanningapplications.
Its reference number is OP/2022/2321 and the address for the application is Le Bordage Seath, Rue Mignot, Le Vauquiedor, St Andrew’s.
