We are seeking a Senior Analyst for the Investment, Fiduciary, and Pension division. Reporting to the Assistant Director, this role is crucial in delivering high-quality prudential, financial crime, and conduct regulation. The successful candidate will contribute to protecting and enhancing the jurisdictions international reputation within the financial services sector. Job duties: Ensure high-quality regulation within the jurisdiction, supporting innovation while discouraging substandard practices. Contribute to the enhancement of the jurisdictions international reputation in the financial services sector. Assist with implementing the Balanced Scorecard, formulating plans to achieve business objectives, and addressing potential issues proactively. Support the consideration of complex cases that may require regulatory action, including formal enforcement measures. Assist in introducing or amending relevant legislation, rules, guidance notes, policies, and procedures. Demonstrate pragmatic decision-making in regulatory matters. Plan and lead on-site visits; conduct research, analyse key issues, and review files, assessing risks and taking accurate minutes. Maintain and develop relationships with licensees, including analysing and making decisions on matters requiring approval, consent, or comment. Review licensees periodic returns, financial statements, and other information to assess their compliance with licensing criteria. Analyse sector trends, produce risk-based analysis documents, and present findings to industry sectors as necessary. Prepare and present visit findings, provide feedback to licensees, and follow up on issues raised. Prepare and present cases to the Risk Governance Panels. Produce accurate, clear, and concise written reports that serve as formal records. Handle enquiries from licensees, regulators, professionals, complainants, and the public effectively, forming strong relationships with industry and regulatory bodies. Chair or contribute to meetings in a professional manner. Liaise with staff across all divisions, demonstrating an awareness of the broader regulatory landscape. Assist with or lead internal projects, such as supervisory processes, statistical exercises, or procedure reviews. Collaborate with team members and understand how your role contributes to the overall success of the organisation. Support the training and development of new staff, recognising diverse learning styles and providing guidance and coaching. Monitor and support the workflow of Administrators and Analysts, providing on-the-job training and constructive feedback. Demonstrate awareness of both organisational and industry pressures, managing workload effectively, and prioritising tasks to meet business objectives. Represent the organisation at training courses, conferences, workshops, and seminars. Maintain up-to-date professional and technical knowledge, working towards relevant accreditation and qualifications. Complete work promptly to a high standard, ensuring consistently high-quality output and attention to detail. Make constructive recommendations for process improvements and assist in implementing changes. Job Requirements: Extensive experience in financial services regulation, particularly within the investment, fiduciary, and pension sectors. Strong understanding of regulatory laws, rules, codes, and guidance, with a focus on the local jurisdiction. Proven ability to plan and lead on-site visits, conduct detailed research, and analyse key issues. Experience managing relationships with licensees and providing regulatory oversight. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and divisions, supporting and mentoring junior staff. Strong problem-solving skills and pragmatic decision-making ability.
