500 of Guernsey's frontline workers are being offered a free night of live music, dancing and vintage fashion as the Retro Festival kicks off its weekender with 'Frontline Friday' this evening.
The weekend's events will run until Sunday in the old HMV building in Market Square, celebrating 1950s, 60s and 70s culture while raising money for charity.
Frontline workers have been offered free tickets to this evening's event, as well as a free drink and a bite to eat.
Guernsey Revival - the charity behind the Retro Festival - raised the funds to cover the tickets at its last event, held at the Peninsula.
"If you helped deliver parcels, drove a bus, operated a taxi, are a care worker or nurse please come along and enjoy what Guernsey Together meant to us all in lockdown," said Director of Guernsey Revival, Jeff Fox.

The weekender will raise money for Men's Shed, which will have a stall at the market on Saturday and Sunday, while the ladies from Clic Sargent - a charity that provides support for young people with cancer - will also be raising money over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Sunday's event will begin with a tea dance for the older generations, who are welcome in for free. Tea and cake will be served from the '50s diner to compliment the rock 'n' roll soundtrack whilst raising money for Les Bourgs Hospice.
"The event promises to be a nostalgic weekend of laughter and good times and a big celebration of community spirit," said Festival Director, Emily Masson. "So dust off your bell bottoms and get out your boogie shoes and come and join in the fun."
Tickets are £5 per day and can be bought from Beau Sejour, Ray & Scott on the Bridge or The Streat in the Inner Market.
