ENTANGLEMENT: An Exhibition by Linda Martorella  

Kicking this week's art fix off strong, we have a new and exciting exhibition by figurative painter, Linda Matorella. Taking place from Saturday the 23rd of March until Sunday the 12th of May, the showcase will adorn the walls of Guernsey Arts’ own ‘Greenhouse Gallery’, situated within the beautiful Candie Gardens. In this exhibition, narratives are woven through bold, conceptual, figurative paintings.  

Using oils, acrylics and mixed media, the collection aims to communicate beauty and complexity from the depths of human form. Open from 10am until 4pm, entry to the exhibition is free with the discovery pass, or tickets can be obtained from the front desk of Candie Museum and Art Gallery. 

Guernsey Improbables Celebrates World Theatre Day with Spectacular Improv Comedy Showcase 

Bringing a spot of laughter to your week, the fabulous Guernsey Improbables return to the Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts, next Wednesday the 27th March from 7pm.  

The special showcase performance will be taking place in celebration of World Theatre Day and will feature the comedic genius of improv veterans Sarah Hansmann and Oliver Bailey-Davies, along with improvising composer, Henry Wood; promising an unforgettable evening of laughter and entertainment. Secure your seat in the theatre and pick up your tickets today.

The Maxwell Quartet   

Filling the concert hall of St James with strikingly beautiful sound, the popular Maxwell Quartet will take to the stage next Wednesday the 27th of March, from 7:30pm.  

Seasoned performers, the group’s entrancing sound has seen them travel the world with their music; from prestigious UK venues to sold out shows in New York, Florida, California and Washington. Whether you’re a music lover, or on the hunt for your next favouriteartist; this is a performance you don’t want to miss. Get your tickets today. 

GADOC Presents: Guys and Dolls  

Hot on the heels of its recent and very successful West End revival, talented local theatre group, GADOC, is bringing the glamorous classic 'Guys and Dolls' to the stage of the Beau Sejour Theatre.  

Taking place from Saturday the 30th of March until Saturday the 6th of April, the show is described as an ‘oddball romantic comedy’, sure to captivate and enthral all audiences. 

Packed with the best show tunes and full to the brim with local creative talent, this is certainly not a performance to be missed. Head down to Beau Sejour, or over to the Guernsey Tickets website to secure your seat before they’re all gone.

Drink & Draw  

Are you looking to broaden your creative horizons? Look no further. The ever popular life drawing group, Drink and Draw, takes place every Wednesday from 7pm until 9pm, upstairs in the Golden Lion. The group is open to all abilities and is great for anyone looking to socialise and get in touch with their creative side.  

Cost is just £10 to be paid on the day, £11 if you wish to pay by card. All paper and basic supplies will be available on the night and are included in the cost of attendance, however, you are more than welcome to bring your own materials - and floor cushion.
