Guernsey Police have asked anyone with a copy of a video of an incident in a town pub this afternoon to not share it with others, as enquiries are continuing into what happened.

In a statement shared via social media, Guernsey Police confirmed one man is receiving treatment at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital after the incident. He is in a stable condition. Three others have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Guernsey Police referred to the incident as a fight and said that the videos show a "particularly violent incident" which happened in a "town pub earlier today".

Officers were seen outside the Harbour Lights this afternoon and the force has also confirmed there was an incident in a second town pub this evening.

These two alleged fights occurred just before and during what Guernsey Police call #tweetonthebeat where they use Twitter to explain what officers do during a shift.

This Friday night has seen officers attend incidents including a broken window, alleged harassment, a domestic incident and what officers called "a mental health job".

Guernsey Police officers are also conducting drink driving checks, are patrolling St Peter Port and are using the #tweetonthebeat campaign to encourage anyone interested in a role within the police to apply.
