Condor is implementing new safety protocols after three members of staff tested positive for Covid-19 on the Commodore Goodwill.
It has brought plans to replace the entire ship’s crew forward to this weekend.
“We take our obligations very seriously,” said Condor Ferries CEO Paul Luxon, “so in line with our new policy that passengers now require evidence of a negative result within 72 hours of departure, we have heightened our safety protocols.”

The Clipper and Commodore Goodwill have now become freight only and have adopted sterile working environments. There will be no contact with people on board or with staff at the ports.
“These changes have been endorsed by Public Health authorities and we can provide reassurance that the lifeline service into the Islands will be maintained,” said Mr Luxon.
The crew members who tested positive were placed into isolation immediately and the Goodwill will now see its entire crew swapped out this weekend.
