Town Church will once again host its popular Crib Service this afternoon to mark Christmas Eve, with attendees being encouraged to dress up as their favourite nativity character.
The service is designed for all ages to come along, sing Christmas carols and recall the famous story that Christmas celebrates – but this year with the extra option to dress up as the Virgin Mary, Joseph, an Angel, or a King.
Town Church’s Mission Priest, Peter Graysmith, is inviting islanders to use their imagination and “have fun celebrating Christmas”.
“If you ever felt you missed your chance to be Mary or Joseph in the school nativity play; now is your moment. You could even be a donkey or a sheep or the rearend of a camel if you want to be,” he said.
