Guernsey Post will be expanding the services available from the Information Centre, as that is now the only post office in the island's town centre.
The post office counter at the Market Co op closed on Friday.
That leaves the existing counter at the Information Centre as the only one in the main shopping area of St Peter Port.
Work will be starting this month to expand the post office counter and services available at the Information Centre with the newly increased post office due to open from Monday 29 April.
In the meantime, Guernsey Post is asking customers to "please bear with us" while that work is carried out.
