King Charles III and Queen Camilla will be in Guernsey this summer, for their first visit since His Majesty ascended to the throne.
He became 'Notre Duc' when his mother, Queen Elizabeth II died in September 2022.
The 16 July day trip will be the monarch's first visit to the Bailiwick since 2012, when he was also accompanied by his wife, now the Queen Consort.

The exact details of their visit will be disclosed nearer the time, but so far we know that His Majesty and Her Majesty will spend the day in Guernsey, with those involved in organising the schedule saying that a programme of events is being planned to "highlight the special and historic relationship between the Channel Islands and the Crown".
Although they do not have time to visit the other islands of the Bailiwick, the programme is being designed to include "elements showcasing the communities of Guernsey, Alderney, and Sark".
Acknowledging His Majesty's personal interests, the programme will also include aspects of "our unique local culture and heritage, and the Bailiwick’s commitment to supporting biodiversity, sustainability and combatting climate change".

The visit will include a special States sitting, planned to be held outdoors on the St Peter Port seafront so the public can watch.
Their Majesties will then head to the Crown Pier where there will be displays showcasing the island's local environment, heritage, and traditions, including ongoing work to promote Guernesiaise, local food production, and biodiversity initiatives.
People from Alderney and Sark will be involved in these events.
The Royal couple will be in Jersey the day before their visit to Guernsey.
