Juvenile on push bike "rode into cyclist"

Tuesday 01 December 2020

A juvenile on a push bike is alleged to have ridden into another cyclist at the junction of Mount Row and Ville Au Roi on Saturday night.

Guernsey Police is investigating the incident, which occurred by the traffic lights at 23:20, and is treating it as a potential assault.

Describing what happened, a spokesman for Guernsey Police said: "A juvenile riding a pushbike has ridden into another adult cyclist, causing him to fall off his cycle and sustain minor injuries. The juvenile in question is believed to have been part of a group of three on pushbikes."

Police are interested in speaking to anyone who can identify the three juveniles and also another member of the public driving what has been described as a light-coloured SUV car. The driver of this vehicle is believed to have witnessed the incident and assisted the injured party following the collision.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact PC 159 Bourgaize at Guernsey Police Headquarters on 725111 or to contact CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
