Elizabeth College continues with the redevelopment of its grounds with the unveiling of a ‘learning garden’.

It’s one part of a significant redevelopment, which includes the incorporation of Perrot Court after its purchase by the College in 2020 for £4.5 million.

“We are still in the early phase of our development and wanting to create more outside space for students,” said the Principal of the College, Jenny Palmer.

“We wanted there to be somewhere for them to sit, study, socialise, and relax,” she said.

The College used RG Falla, Petersfield, and Prime Paving to create the ‘learning garden’, and outside space with sturdy canopies that can be used throughout the year.

Additionally, the garden boasts numerous plant species and grasses.

“Pollinators and a pollinator corridor were very important to us,” said Mrs Palmer. “We want to be environmentally conscious.”

Perrot Court itself has now been fully gutted and is set to be completed by the start of the 2022-23 academic year.
