Christmas comes early for a number of groups this weekend, with celebrations planned offering a number of festive themed activities.
Father Christmas himself is expected to be at some of the planned events, including the Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden today and the Guernsey Raiders Christmas party tomorrow afternoon.
His first stop this weekend will be at Saumarez Park for the now-annual Victorian Christmas event hosted by the volunteers who run the Victorian Walled Kitchen Garden.
They've got a number of craft activities planned as well as traditional refreshments for sale and a variety of entertainers including choirs and bell ringers. Parking is only at Saumarez Park now though, after Home Farm was left too wet following yesterday's rainfall.
This evening there is a traditional Guernsey evening with carol singing in Guernesiaise as well as other songs, games, crafts and refreshments.
La Longue Veille has been organised by L’Assembllaie d’Guernesiais for many decades but this year they've joined forces with the Guernsey Language Commission to put on the festive evening, tonight from 18:00 at St Martins Parish Hall.
The evening will end with a traditional nativity and Father Christmas may even pay a visit.
On Sunday, Guernsey Museums is hosting its second 'Candie Christmas' event of the season with Santa's grotto as well as a number of craft activities for children and their families.
They're being held weekly until Christmas with free entry for discovery pass holders.
Also tomorrow, Guernsey Raiders are hosting their annual Christmas party for their supporters.
They've also got games this weekend, with the men hosting Henley Hawks this afternoon from 15:00, then tomorrow the Guernsey Ladies are hosting Witney Ladies, kicking off at 13:00.
On Sunday the club has some 'fun and games' planned at the club house on Footes Lane, with a BBQ and visit from Santa, between 15:00 and 17:00.
