At a similar time, the Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service were putting out a dustbin lorry which was on fire at the Weighbridge Taxi Rank in St Peter Port.

Later on Saturday night, an accident in St Martins at around midnight saw all three emergency services called out.

Rue Cauchez was closed for a while as the incident was dealt with.

In Alderney, a medical emergency saw volunteer crews called out to help at St Anne's Church.

The Alderney Fire Brigade were among those called out on Sunday morning after the patient had collapsed in the Church bell tower. They were later confirmed to have suffered a cardiac arrest. The fire crew help the paramedics to take the patient out of the bell tower so they could be taken to the Mignot Memorial Hospital.

The volunteer fire crew used a body splint stretcher to move the patient in a vertical position down the spiral staircase.
