Beau Séjour entrance facing big changes

Monday 30 July 2018

From today, weeks worth of work will go into altering the main entrance to Beau Sejour Leisure Centre.

A temporary entrance will be in place from today; Monday 30 July, until Sunday 2 September, while the work is taking place.

Access to the leisure centre will be through the 'concourse doors' which will be signposted while the work gets underway and continues throughout the rest of the summer.

That change means some parking areas have had to be temporarily altered as well. Blue badge permit holders will be able to use some temporary accessible parking spaces which will be available around the concourse area. All other car parking arrangements will remain the same.

The cafe and soft play area will be both be relocated to level one in the sports hall and in the David Ferguson Hall respectively, while the work is taking place.

Any children attending the Beau Sejour Holiday club should meet on level one in the sports hall on court three, which is accessible through the squash courts.

Access to the reception, and all other Centre activities will be via the concourse entrance as well. Information flyers will be available in the centre and staff "will be on hand during the works to answer any questions customers may have."

The "maintenance and improvement works" will see the re-tiling of the main entrance, and the reconfiguration of the main entrance area which has been designed to "help enhance the overall customer experience."

Sam Herridge, Head of Recreation Services says, “These works are part of a plan of ongoingmaintenance and improvement works, to not only update the Centre, but also improve our overall customer experience. We will also take the opportunity to improve the facilities and overall experience offered in our café, in line with feedback from our customers.”
