An exciting opportunity within a large, international financial services business which provides discretionary portfolio management and investment advisory services. Working collaboratively as part of a robust and effective team that identifies, assesses, mitigates, and monitors risks. The Risk Officer fulfils a broad role, focusing on all aspects of financial risk, including credit, treasury and market risk, and non-financial risk, including governance, regulatory and operational risk. By ensuring compliance with internal standards and external laws and regulations, the Risk Officer is responsible for the performance and, where necessary, the oversight of controls testing and the maintenance of the risk reporting systems. The role holder will also oversee, manage, develop and support the Non-Financial Risk Officer in their day-to-day work and achievement of their objectives and develop the ability to provide consulting services to management and staff in respect of all aspects of risk management. Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years relevant practical experience in risk management or internal audit, experience in designing and implementing controls, policies and procedures and strong stakeholder management experience.
