EY has announced its recent promotions in Guernsey, two of which advance individuals who originally joined the firm as local trainees to managerial roles.

Adam Knight and Emily Bodkin, who both joined the firm as trainees, have been promoted to assistant managers.

Mr Knight has been promoted to assistant manager within the assurance team and Ms Bodkin is now an assistant manager within tax services. Both joined EY after completing their A-levels at Elizabeth College and Blanchelande College, respectively. Both became Chartered Accountants within three years of joining EY.

During Miss Bodkin's time with the firm she has gained a significant amount of experience providing Guernsey and UK corporate and personal tax advice. She is also experienced with the Zero 10 tax regime in Guernsey and supports employers across both islands in managing employment tax matters and human capital.

Mr Knight has been with the firm for more than five years and his key focus is providing assurance services to the asset management industry, particularly private equity.

Andrew Dann, EY’s Channel Islands managing partner said: “We pride ourselves on our leading people culture and the emphasis that we place on providing our people with opportunities to progress their careers. I congratulate all those promoted.”
