Promotions at Julius Baer

Friday 05 May 2023

Three people have been promoted at Bank Julius Baer Guernsey with their employer praising their "exemplary contributions to the bank’s ongoing success on the island".

Alexandra McInnes, Head of Guernsey at Bank Julius Baer, congratulated Barney Paul, Amanda Flouquet and James Tostevin on their individual achievements.

“It’s fantastic to see personal and professional development in our team," she said. "Barney, Amanda and James are being recognised for working in line with our core values, due to their passion for their work, their care for their teams, and the excellent and high-quality work they produce.

“They have all contributed to the success of the business and the level of client service that sets us apart. We’re thankful to each of them as well as all of our committed employees for their enthusiasm and expertise.”

Mr Paul (pictured top right) works within the Treasury department, managing assets and liabilities of the Guernsey branch as well as liaising with Julius Baer’s other Treasury departments around the world. He said: “I enjoy analysing the fixed income markets, looking for suitable investment opportunities and communicating them to my Treasury colleagues in other locations around the world. Working for Bank Julius Baer is a very rewarding experience, and the new office reflects the modern and flexible working environment that the company continues to adopt.”

Ms Flouquet (pictured centre) started at Julius Baer in November 2021, and now leads the Client Documentation Services team.

“I enjoy the atmosphere at Bank Julius Baer, working with my team and teams across the world,” she said. “There is a constant focus on improving the client experience and a lot of opportunity to work creatively.”

Mr Tostevin (pictured left) joined the Guernsey branch in 2013 in the Booking Centre, to manage and take responsibility for a book of cross-unit relationship clients.

He said: “I enjoy the challenge of supporting the Relationship Managers to acquire new business and providing existing clients with a first-class service and access to innovative products. We are passionate and care about what we do.”
