New programme launched to spark entrepreneurship

Female entrepreneurs in the Crown Dependencies are being invited to sign up for a 'business growth' programme.

The Canaccord Genuity Advisory Programme is a global initiative by Canaccord Genuity Group, parent company of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, which is based locally.

It has been set up specifically for women entrepreneurs and is, for the first time, open to applicants from the Channel Islands.

The programme, which is free to selected participants, offers bespoke business advice and growth opportunities, as well as an invitation to attend the Canaccord Genuity Global Growth Conference, which attracts institutional investors, private equity and venture capital professionals from all over the world.

Andy Finch, CEO of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management's International Division, said: "We are delighted that this excellent programme, which has until now only been available to women entrepreneurs in Canada, is being rolled out across all Canaccord Genuity jurisdictions including the UK, Australia, the US and of course the Crown Dependencies.

"There are some excellent businesses led by women here, and this is an opportunity not only for them to benefit from world-class advice and support, but also receive recognition for their entrepreneurial mindset and leadership."

The programme runs from March to December 2021 and the deadline for applications is 31 January. Successful applicants will be expected to dedicate eight hours of their time to the programme. More details on how to apply can be found HERE.
