It took 10 rounds of penalties to settle it, but Vale Rec claimed the Upton Park Trophy after beating Jersey champions St Clement.
The sides were locked at 1-1 after 120 minutes.
Rec had taken the lead in the fifth minute when Seb Skillen headed in Jacob Masterton-Pipet’s in-swinging corner. St Clement’s Karl Hinds resorted parity five minutes later after a double save by Chris Povall.
Both sides carved out further chances at Blanche PIerre Lane but could not find the back of the net again.
After nine penalties the sides were 7-7, when Rec’s keeper Christian Povall saved from Charlie Batty.
Centre back Matt Ozanne then had the chance to win it and duly obliged.
It was the first Upton win for Vale Rec in 36 years.
Guernsey lost the U16 Muratti 5-1 at the Track.
Jersey were in front after 13 minutes through Will Yates and added a second thanks to Sonny Cassidy seven minutes later.
The Green’s were back in the match before halftime after Gil Hunter’s shot went in off the bar.
The second half saw Jersey ease away.
Yates grabbed his second, before Jacob Clynes scored from open play and a Joey O’Toole penalty finished things off.
