Guernsey have made their bow at the World Darts Federation World Cup.
Action got underway in Esbjerg, Denmark, yesterday after the Opening Ceremony and continues until Saturday.
In the ladies singles preliminary round Caroline La Touche was up against stiff competition in the form of Canadian Darlene Van Sleeuwan, who played in the World Championships at Lakeside last year.
She lost 0-4.
Yvonne Le Gallic picked up the Green Army’s first win, taking a nail biting last leg to defeat Lolanda Roba 4-3.
She went on to play Australian Jo Hadley in the first round, but lost 0-4 having missed chances in the opening leg.
After a bye into the first round, Tracy Ingrouille lost 0-4 to Barbara Osti.
Debbie Hamon took out 88 to win her first round match 4-1 against Debora Urdeva and progress into the last 64, in the process she picked up the first point of the World Cup for Guernsey.
She then lost 0-4 against Anna Forsmark from Sweden, her opponent averaging 68.32 and hitting nine scores of a 100 or more.
In the men’s pairs first round, Lee Savidant and Kyle Hutchinson fell 1-4 to the Canadian pairing of Ross Snook and Jake Macmillan.
Keiran Queripel and Chris Hamon lost 0-4 to German parinig of Marcus Maier and Frank Bruns.
