Guernsey’s marine ambulance is back in the water for sea trials after repair work was successfully completed.
The Flying Christine III was taken out of service for routine maintenance on 23 January, but a gearbox problem has kept her out of action since.
Cover was provided by services like the lifeboat.
A spokesman for St John Ambulance and Rescue confirmed that once sea trials are complete, she will be fully operational again.
The future of the Flying Christine III beyond 2024 is under review, with St John Ambulance and Rescue assessing whether the marine ambulance service should continue.
She was built in 1994 with a design life of 30 years.
The Flying Christine III is provided by the St John Ambulance Guernsey charity, funded through a combination of donations, sponsorship, subscription and charges.
