Saffery Rotary Walk early registration open

Early-bird registration for next year's Saffery Rotary Walk is open, giving a discounted opportunity to those wanting to set themselves a challenge for the new year.

Lower prices are being offered to those who register before the 31 January for Guernsey's only around-the-island walk.

Individual walkers who register before the cutoff date will be charged £5 less, at £20. The price will go back up to the normal price of £25 in February next year.

Walkers will also once again be able to take part as a relay team with a maximum of seven people in each team. The early-bird price of £100 for team registration will be available until the same date, after which it will be £140. 

The walk itself will take place on Saturday 15 June.

The 39 mile route is divided into sections by a number of checkpoints along the route, with each section being between four and eight miles in length and of varied levels of difficulty.

Chair of the Walk’s organising committee, Simon Milsted, said: “Last year we had over 700 walkers including a number of walkers from the UK and Jersey signed up too. The event is open to anyone, from anywhere and we hope to welcome even more walkers from off the island next year”.
