Despite the collapse of Flybe overnight, things seemed to be running smoothly at Guernsey Airport this morning.
This appeared to be down to the quick reactions of the other two main airlines in Guernsey: Aurigny and Blue Islands.
Both immediately issued statements to keep their customers in the loop as the news about Flybe broke. Aurigny set up a "special rescue fare" for people who have lost their flights of £49.99, which will allow people to fly on any Aurigny flight to try and recover their travel plans.

Blue Islands meanwhile announced it would be operating a number of Flybe's scheduled flights to try and get passengers to their destinations. The airline said it would be doing this throughout today and tomorrow, while also running some additional flights today to make up the capacity.
A spokesperson for Blue Islands said: "Blue Islands services will continue to operate as normal, following the closure of Flybe. Passengers with bookings for travel on Blue Islands operated services are advised to check-in on time at the airport.
"Further to our previous statement, Blue Islands would like to provide information relating to the services it operates together with details of additional flights for Thursday 5 March 2020."

Blue Islands also had ground staff on hand to help people work out what was happening. This was despite Flybe's official advice across the UK being not to go to the airport if you were expecting to fly today.
