Busy day for Emergency Ambulance Service

Friday 28 August 2020

Emergency ambulances were sent out to two separate crashes along Grandes Maisons Road this morning, which happened within half an hour of one another.

The first incident was at about 07:15, involving a single vehicle, which crashed into a wall.

Guernsey Police and Guernsey Fire & Rescue were also sent out to the incident.

Paramedics assessed a female motorist at the scene, before taking her to the Emergency Department for further treatment.

A short while later, at 07:45, another ambulance was dispatched to Grandes Maison Road to help an injured motorcyclist. The male rider was treated at the scene, before being taken up to the hospital.

The road was closed for around an hour. To make the morning even busier, a third ambulance was called out to an unrelated medical emergency near the Bridge at around the same time.
