Two restaurants mysteriously vanish in town

Two eateries under the same umbrella appear to have suddenly stopped operating in St Peter Port.

Koi Koi and its sister establishment Koi Koi Express have vanished from social media, while the domain for its website is no longer in use.

Both businesses are also presenting as permanently closed on Google Maps with phone numbers removed.

The main restaurant has also disappeared from an online reservation system which features other Guernsey eateries.

It hosted a New Year’s Eve party just months ago, billed as it’s last ever. This led to questioning if the restaurant was closing, but the owner's rebutted rumours in a social media post and indicated it planned to overhaul its menu in 2024.

The pink interior and huge cherry blossom tree have featured in many social media posts since the main restaurant opened in 2019 on Lefebvre Street, serving a blend of Asian and meat dishes.

The Express store in Le Pollet opened just last year and offered grab-and-go sushi. The main restaurant building has since gone up for sale with Savills.
