The changes will see the price of a Bailiwick stamp increasing by 2 pence to 46 pence and UK and Europe prices increasing by 3 pence, making them 62 pence and 76 pence respectively.

The new headline letter rates active from today, Tuesday 3 April, are:

  • The cost of a Bailiwick stamp will be 46p, up by 2p.
  • The price of a UK stamp will be 62p, up by 3p
  • The price of a letter to Europe will be 76p, up by 3p
  • The price of a letter to the Rest of the World will be 85p, up by 5p

Boley Smillie, Guernsey Post Chief Executive admitted the increases were down to other cost pressures the utility firm is experiencing: “This year in particular we have experienced a significant increase in charges from our suppliers for the onward conveyance and delivery of mail to the UK and International destinations. However, we continue to work hard to offer the best possible prices and we are confident that our rates are still competitive.”

Those wanting to find out more information, can read the full tariffs on the Guernsey Post website, here.
