Another sauna could pop-up in Guernsey, this time on the west coast at Vazon.
Peter Lawson has applied to set up a horsebox-style portable sauna in-between Vistas and the Guernsey Surf School hut to offer prime views over the west coast beach.
The small black box sauna heated through a wood burner would be placed just behind the bus shelter for use by up to six people per session.
He hopes to initially operate the business – to be called Beach Box Sauna – on Friday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday before moving to a year-round operation.
Mr Lawson says he has received support from the landowner and neighbouring businesses for the plans.
“I believe that Beach Box Sauna will not only enhance the leisure and wellness offerings in the area but also contribute positively to the local economy and community while respecting the natural beauty of Vazon Bay,” he said.
It comes just weeks after a similar scheme started operating at La Vallette, complementing efforts made in the other Channel Islands to bring therapeutic sauna bathing to cold water swimming locations.

Hot Haus began operating on the verge next to the Bathing Pools just last week, while Alderney has enjoyed Adrift Sauna at Braye Beach since January and Jersey now has two sauna businesses operating for several months.
The companies are trading under the names Sauna Society and Sandytoes Sauna.
All of them promise to bring the Finnish sauna therapy benefits to those who enjoy taking the cold plunge in local waters throughout the year, with stunning views to enjoy at the same time.
