Police urge action against opportunistic thefts

Wednesday 06 April 2022

Guernsey Police have issued a reminder to the public to ensure personal belongings are secured on properties following a series of thefts from insecure buildings, sheds, and garages.

This comes after a private residence within the St Saviours area had numerous sheds and outbuildings entered on the same day that a commercial building site in Upland Road, St Peter Port, was burgled.

The Police say use of private CCTV, security lighting, and keeping sheds, outbuildings and garages securely locked and windows closed will detect, deter and help prevent opportunistic thefts.

If you have any information about the break-ins please contact the Guernsey Police on 222222. Or you can report information anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
