One baby was born in Guernsey over the new year period, but the family wish to remain anonymous with no other details confirmed.
The arrival was confirmed by Loveridge Ward at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital in a brief statement merely confirming the one happy arrival since the turn of the year.
There were no Christmas Day babies in Guernsey in 2018.
