New premiere date for mental health documentary

Saturday 10 April 2021

The latest documentary by the creator of Man Down will be screened for the first time next month, after its original release date was pushed back by Guernsey's second wave of Covid-19.

Award-winning local filmmaker Gaz Papworth continues to open conversation on mental health through his second documentary, UnMute.

“I think with everything going on, with the pressures and anxieties in the world right now, people need something new,” said Mr Papworth.

Mr Papworth explores the black lives matter movement, post-natal depression and the pressures of social media through a series of interviews.

The impact of Covid-19 looms over the film and its participants, never more so than during interviews with two front line NHS workers.

If you booked tickets for the original premiere, your ticket remains valid for the first screening on 4 May at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts.

Tickets are still available for other screenings in May online.
