LISTEN: Policies not personalities, pledges new political movement

Saturday 30 November 2024

Intended to "activate decisive government and deliver policies essential to the long-term prosperity of all islands" a new political movement has officially launched in Guernsey.

While it is not yet a political party, Future Guernsey is likely to be one by next June for Guernsey's second island wide election.

Headed up by Chairman John Hardie, Chief Executive Lindsey Freeman, and Political Adviser Gavin St Pier, the organisation has spent time researching what the public wants and the intention is to deliver a manifesto focused on those policies.

It is also aimed at leaving personality politics behind.

Mr Hardie, Ms Freeman, and Mr St Pier explained all to Express before the official launch.
