Since the start of 2018 the trustees have been actively working on ways to continue their support for parents who experience a stillbirth but also to extend their support to parents who experience earlier losses.

The trust is delighted to welcome Kate Kellaway and Chloe Steadman to the Ivy team. They will be helping with the development of support for miscarriage while trustee Shelley Samson will continue to lead the support available for parents who experience later stage losses and stillbirth.

Ms Steadman said: "In my personal grief journey, I have found that sharing with others, learning about their experiences and finding out that you aren't alone definately helps."

Ms Samson said: “The Ivy Team all hope that everyone who wants to share or connect with others who have had similar experiences know where they can go and find the support they need. There is no obligation to share anything you are not comfortable with, its entirely up to you."

The open morning is on Sunday 29 April in the Harry Bound Room at Les Cotils from 10:30 until 12:30. Anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy either personally or through a friend or family member is welcome.

Together with the trustees and volunteers, several wellbeing practitioners will be at the open morning providing useful information on how their therapies may be of use at such a difficult time.
