Hertz working with States to expand hire services

Thursday 16 September 2021

Hertz Hire Car is moving its dealerships to Longue Hougue and increasing its presence at the airport.

Hertz has applied for planning permission to adopt Guernsey Freight Services’ old offices at the East Hangar.

“Our airport rental service is part of our vital offering and continues to be a very important ingredient to visitors on the island,” said Hertz.

"We have been working with States colleagues on identifying a new location to support the rental office, vehicle cleaning and general parking within the airport zone.”

The hire company has applied to install a canopy for car washing and install signage, while using the car park for customer vehicles and changing the use of the building to a car hire office.

“Together we believe these are small changes to consider and welcome your insight and support in the planning consideration process,” continued Hertz, in its letter to the Development and Planning Authority.
