Two people have been treated for injuries after a car crash near Mont Cuet.

It happened shortly before midnight between the cross roads at the Pembroke junction and the access road to the tip.

Only one car was involved and the man and woman inside the car are said to have suffered "minor injuries."

The pair were taken to hospital by ambulance after all of the emergency services were called to the accident. A second ambulance had to be called to help out after the patients had been assessed by the first crew on the scene.

There is an ongoing investigation into the incident while Guernsey Police are also investigating damage caused to the green on the Chouet side of the golf course. 

The road reopened around 04:00.
