His Excellency and Lady Corder will be in attendance at a charity pancake event today, in aid of the Guernsey Cheshire Home.
As it is Shrove Tuesday some of the island’s best chefs will be on hand to cook pancakes in The Town Church, St Peter Port from 11:00 to 14:00.
Chefs from the Old Government House Hotel and Spa, La Fregate Hotel, The Auberge and Thomas De La Rue will be cooking the pancakes, which can be purchased along with teas, coffees and homemade cakes; with all funds raised going to the Cheshire Home.

His Excellency said: "Kathryn and I are delighted to be able to support The Guernsey Cheshire Home today, and indeed whenever we have the opportunity. The Home is a wonderful place and is backed by a dedicated team."
A spokesperson for Government House said: "Pancakes will also be on the menu later at Government House with His Excellency in charge of the pan. They will be sticking to the traditional sugar and lemon flavour as that is their favourite."
