Children to hear from popular authors

Monday 10 February 2020

Around 5,000 local school children will have the chance to hear from three acclaimed authors over the next few days, as this year's Book Week gets underway.

Ross Montgomery, Paul Cookson and Andrew Lane are all children's authors, and are visiting the Bailiwick to perform for pupils.

Mr Montgomery is best known for his books 'Space Tortoise' and 'The Building Boy'. He will be visiting students in Reception to Year Two.

Anyone who misses out on seeing the authors can head along to a public event at the Guille-Alles Library on Thursday, where each visitor will have the chance to speak again.

The 45 minute sessions will begin with Mr Montgomery at 16:00, followed by Mr Cookson at 17:00 and Mr Lane at 18:00.

The events are free and tickets are available to book here.
