Thieves stole the CCTV hard drive from Cheers at Grandes Rocques, before they made away with thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes and tobacco.

The till, a safe containing £160 in change and £120 worth of scratch cards were also taken.

It happened at around 04:00 on Wednesday morning and Guernsey Police are appealing for witnesses.

Anyone with information is asked to call 725111 and speak to Temporary Detective Constable Fran Babbe, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

People are being advised to be extra vigilant if anyone offers to sell them cigarettes.
