Bridge Christmas Lights need support too

Saturday 12 October 2019

Now we know St Peter Port will definitely be lit up this Christmas, attention can turn to the Bridge which is also after support for its festive lights.

A post has been shared by some Bridge traders on social media, asking for donations to ensure the area is lit up like a Christmas tree this December.

As in Town, the Bridge lights are funded by traders themselves.

All the business in the area are asked for a donation to support them, but the Facebook post shared by the Bridge Dental Clinic said fewer than half chip in.

Father Christmas will be on the Bridge to switch the lights on during the afternoon of Friday 6 December and its hoped the display will be up before then.

Anyone who wishes to donate is asked to contribute by handing cash in at Ray & Scott the Jewellers or to the Bridge Dental Clinic, or by making cheques payable to 'The Bridge traders Association Christmas Lights Committee'. Payments can be made directly into the organisations bank account using sort code 60 90 20 and account no 67120342.
