Aurigny has brought in two planes to support its operation over the Christmas week.
An Ascend Airways Boeing 737-82R (G-HODL) and an Avanti Air Dash 8-400 (D-AASG) and their crews have been wet leased.
Both have been used to fly Guernsey routes already this year.
"As is standard industry practice, Aurigny utilises additional capacity from ACMI operators when appropriate," a spokesperson said.
"To this end, and to support with the transportation of 11,500 important festive journeys over the Christmas week, 20 to 27 December, we have ensured additional resilience in our programme with Avanti Air and Ascend Airways supporting some Aurigny operations.
"We endeavour to ensure we get our customers where they need to be this Christmas."
On Friday, Aurigny offered passengers booked to fly on Sunday the chance of a free transfer because of fears high winds from Storm Eowyn could cause cancellations.
In the end, most services either operated as planned or there were some minor delays. The evening Alderney and last Gatwick arrivals were cancelled.
Today, every child travelling with Auringy will be gifted a cuddly toy puffin with a Paddington-style tag reading "Please look after this puffin".
They were made by Channel Island Toys.
