Scrutiny is looking for additional members from the community to help it conduct a year-long review into the States’ contract with its IT partner - Agilisys.
The Committee is only interested in those who have experience in IT, digital transformation projects and contract management – but they say no formal qualifications are required.
Members will be required to meet once a month on average, with meetings commencing in September, and becoming more frequent throughout the review period.
Those meetings are expected to last approximately two hours and briefing papers will need to be read prior to meetings, as well as reviewing drafts of the report prior to publication.
Deputy Yvonne Burford, President of the Scrutiny Management Committee, said that up to two additional members are likely to be required, and that the review could take up to 12-months to complete.

Deputy Yvonne Burford told Express that additional input from those with industry-specific knowledge would be beneficial to the review.
“[Scrutiny] believe it is important that the Agilysis panel, whose members will be responsible for examining and questioning the evidence put before them, includes one or more members who have specific experience of the subject matter being reviewed,” said Deputy Burford.
“Although the three [Scrutiny] members who will sit on the panel will spend considerable time understanding the evidence, they are not subject matter experts in this area and in such cases [Scrutiny] will always seek to recruit additional members with a good working knowledge of the matter under review.”
Any prospective candidates must ensure they have no direct or indirect connection to the organisations involved in bringing forward the digital transformation contract.
“The chosen applicants will have been interviewed and will be subject to the standard declaration of interest process. Any potential conflicts of interest will be handled in line with normal States’ procedures,” concluded Deputy Burford.
