Peter Trenchard Photography launches a fresh new local approach to school photography

Everyone has school photographs of themselves hidden away somewhere, but not many people can say that they genuinely like these pictures. In spite of the advances in technology these school photographs have stayed stale and uninspiring. The feedback that we have had over the years is “It’s only a school photograph”.

As it currently stands, two English companies undertake this photography. They have been coming to the island for a number of years and there has never been a proper alternative until now.

After 18 months of research and substantial investment we have put together a school photography service that will benefit the parents/pupils, the schools and the island as a whole. We have created a more modern and fun approach to school photography with different backgrounds, advanced lighting and informal poses. One reply from our customer feedback had stated “my daughter felt relaxed and could pose a bit more than normal… the standard of service is excellent and the photos are priced very reasonably”. We have endeavored to keep the prices as low as possible, offering studio quality images at school photography package prices.

Not all schools have been receiving commission generated from the sale of the school photographs; we have a fixed rate of commission that applies to all schools photographed by ourselves. Being local we can be more flexible. Nobody needs to miss out on their school photograph anymore. We also offer additional photography support free of charge for the schools.

As the uptake increases we can expand and employ more local people to join our schools division. With the other English photography companies all money, print production and fulfillment is dealt with outside of the island. As most of us are aware it’s important to buy local and help support our economy by keeping our money within the community.

So far we have had very encouraging, positive feedback from parents, pupils and schools. We have created a more enjoyable experience, a more up to date product, and a more personal service that is of great benefit to everyone. This is a change that has been long overdue. We look forward to providing school photography that people will be proud to display. Interested parties can contact Peter Trenchard Photography on 769933.
