Seasonal changes to Harbour services

MEDIA RELEASE: The views expressed in this article are those of the author and not Bailiwick Express, and the text is reproduced exactly as supplied to us

Now that summer season is drawing to a close, the usual changes to harbour services will soon be implemented.

Harbour users should prepare for the following changes which take place in the coming weeks:

The Harbour Office will be closed at weekends from Sunday, September 29th* and the water taxi, currently reduced to a Friday to Sunday only schedule, will cease operating at 20:00 on the same day.

The dinghy and passenger landing pontoons will be removed in stages throughout September and October. The Harbour Showers will be closed to coincide with the removal of the pontoon.

Local boat owners are advised to remove their tenders before the pontoon is lifted and are encouraged to recover any mooring warps and tackle from their mooring once their vessel has been lifted from the water.

VHF traffic and emergency transmissions should be directed to Guernsey Coastguard or CROSS JOBOURG outside of normal Harbour Office hours.
