Candie Christmas returns to Guernsey Museum at Candie this Sunday.
The event takes place on two days this year: Sunday 5th and Sunday 12th December. There will be extra things going on from 10.00-16.00 on both days.
To mark the current Viking exhibition, the Museums team have given the event a Scandinavian flavour this year. Many of our common festive traditions can be traced back to the Vikings including tree decoration, Yule logs and carolling.
Candie Christmas is FREE for Discovery Pass holders and their children. Activities include:
As a bonus this year - from 19th to 24th December there will be a daily film at 10:30, Lucky Dip in the shop, help-yourself activities & themed trails. There is a beautiful range of gifts on sale in the Museum shop and Café Victoria will be open for hot drinks, snacks and light lunches.
The Museums team explain more about this year’s event: ‘we have tweaked Candie Christmas slightly to give people more space and flexibility. Masks are mandatory for those over 12 (who are able to wear them) and we do recommend visitors take a Lateral Flow test before attending’.
Candie Christmas takes place on Sunday 5th and Sunday 12th December at Guernsey Museum, 10.00-16.00. Normal admission applies to the Museum, so it’s free for Discovery Pass holders. For more information, please visit www.museums.gov.gg/candiechristmas
