Dame Mary Perkins, a co-founder of Specsavers, has been inducted into the Great British Entrepreneur Awards Hall of Fame, with a ceremony held in London on 20 November.
The awards acknowledge the work and stories of British businesspeople, and up to two individuals per year who support these people are inducted to the Hall of Fame.
Dame Mary has supported GBEA for several years and this year, she was honoured to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, recognising her continued support for new business leaders and inspiration.
Dame Mary said: “I continue to support the GBEA as I am constantly amazed and inspired by the entrepreneurship of the finalists of each year.
“It’s important to support new business ideas and initiatives, and they just keep getting better and better. It’s also a joy to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, a real privilege to sit amongst so many inspirational businessmen and women.”
Dame Mary was also at the 2023 Everywoman Entrepreneur Awards on 6 December to present the ‘Entrepreneur for Good Award’ sponsored by Specsavers.
She was among over 400 women and supporters of female entrepreneurs who united to celebrate the achievements of these people and businesses.
