Local insurance broker, Rossborough has won an extra £1000 for its charitable partner for 2018, Guernsey Welfare Service, after being named ‘Community Team of the Year’.
Rossborough’s parent company Gallagher held its annual Gallagher Gives and Making a Difference Awards ceremony earlier this month to celebrate the achievements of its many companies across the globe. Rossborough brought home the Community Team of the Year award, in recognition of the company’s extensive community support activities as a dedicated community broker in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
Managing director of Rossborough Guernsey, Ian Stewart, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be named Community Team of the Year within Gallagher. As a local broker with a long history on the island, we have a responsibility to care for the local community and our team frequently goes above and beyond what’s required of them to do just that."
At the start of 2018 Rossborough chose the Guernsey Welfare Service as its charitable partner for the year. The company has since raised money for the charity and a team of Rossborough’s staff is also volunteering with the service and assisting with food donations throughout December for the busy Christmas period.
Sue Le Friec of Guernsey Welfare Service, said: "Guernsey Welfare has really appreciated the practical support of Rossborough throughout the year, and to end the year with this wonderful donation is fantastic for us. December is a really busy time for the Service and the donation will go a long way in supporting people who require extra help at what can be a very expensive time of year."
