He has previously worked for companies including Standard Chartered Bank, Investec Private Bank, LGT Vestra, Bank Leumi and AIB Bank in Northern Ireland, the UK, the Isle of Man and Jersey. He also has business links with Guernsey, Switzerland and the Middle East.

Mr Rafferty said: “I’m very much looking forward to taking the next step in my career with Rossborough. It’s a wonderful opportunity with a well-respected local organisation able to offer clients a professional service bolstered by the capabilities of Gallagher across the globe.

“What attracted me to Rossborough was the business' clear strategy and focus for the future, underpinned by some brilliant growth plans that I look forward to supporting and taking forward.”

Alongside supporting with business growth, Mr Rafferty will be acting as a mentor to members of the Rossborough team, including sharing his interests in marketing, sports and events.

Lee Refault, Group Business Development Director at Rossborough, said Mr Rafferty will add value to the firm's services.

“We are pleased to welcome Stephen to Rossborough," said Mr Refault.

"His experience, knowledge and connections across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man will significantly strengthen the business development offering, underpinned by his core understanding of the three islands and what our clients need from their insurance provider.”
