Partner promoted at Babbé

Friday 07 January 2022

Tristan Ozanne has been appointed Corporate Partner at Babbé LLP.

His promotion took effect on 1 January, 2022, two years after he joined the company from another offshore law firm.

Mr Ozanne  qualified as a solicitor in 2007, and has gained experience in the offshore market and corporate law in particular since then. He is a member of the Guernsey International Legal Association (GILA) and he was named by Legal 500 as a “Rising Star” in 2020.

Babbé Partner Todd McGuffin said they have recognised Mr Ozanne's talents for corporate law and have promoted him to the position of Partner to leverage his skillset and experience, and reward his hard work.

Mr McGuffin said the firm is committed to promoting from within and hiring local talent to nurture the island’s pool of home-grown lawyers.

“Tristan’s promotion demonstrates the rapid growth of our corporate practice, which focuses on mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, corporate advisory, regulatory and risk and investment funds. This marks another milestone in Babbé’s expansion and continues to enhance our offering.

“Tristan has demonstrated all the firm’s core values throughout his career and in his time with the business. His excellence, honesty, accountability and respect has not gone unnoticed and has now been rewarded. We welcome Tristan to the partnership”.

Mr Ozanne said: “I am looking forward to further enhancing our corporate offering and continuing to provide our existing and new clients with a first-rate service.”
